in 2004 we had 3.3 million total voters so i am expecting a big turnout today. it looks like i won't be disappointed. people began arriving at the polls between 4 & 5 am here to ensure they would be able to vote. the picture to the left was taken at 6:30am and the line already goes until you can't see it anymore. to some extent i interpret these long lines as the Sec. of State's ineptitude, but mostly it is a testament to the determination of these voters to exercise their right to vote. i am especially happy to see many people who have never voted before getting energized about politics & participating in the process! good job, georgia.
